aic2911Agudath Israel of America has announced that well-known askan, Mr. Hashi Herzka, has been appointed chairman of the organization’s upcoming 91st national convention.

Due to this year’s unusual quirk in the calendar with Thanksgiving weekend coinciding with Chanukah, the convention dates have been advanced and the event will place during the weekend of November 14-17/11-14 Kislev. The convention will be held at the Hilton Woodcliff Lake in Bergen County NJ, located conveniently off the Garden State Parkway in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

Mr. Herzka is a key member of the Board of Trustees of Agudath Israel of America, and has been deeply involved in many of its most successful initiatives. As a member of the Siyum Steering Committee, he also helped oversee the 12th Siyum Hashas of the Daf Yomi.

Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zwiebel, executive vice president of Agudath Israel, remarked, “We are thrilled to have an askan of Hashi Herzka’s caliber as our convention chairman. He brings savvy, commitment and tremendous chashivus to the table – exactly the qualities appropriate for one who chairs the convention of Agudas Yisroel.”

All convention sessions are free of charge and open to the public. Being that the convention will take place in close proximity to the large Charedi communities of Monsey, Spring Valley, Viznitz, New Square, and Northern New Jersey, Agudath Israel expects many more participants in the exciting convention sessions. For reservations and other inquires, contact the Agudah convention office at 212-797-7380 or at: [email protected].
