Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) suggested that voters express their dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden’s approach to the Gaza conflict at the polls in November.

Tlaib criticized Biden, calling him an “enabler” for his refusal to classify Israel’s military actions in Gaza following the October 7 attack by Hamas as genocide.

“Every year, our nation, and I emphasize our nation because it is ours, sends billions to support an apartheid regime and back the continuous ethnic cleansing of Palestinians,” Tlaib stated at the People’s Conference for Palestine in Detroit.

“It is disgraceful that the Biden administration and my fellow members of Congress continue to defame those protesting to save lives, regardless of faith or ethnicity,” she said, referencing pro-Gaza and Palestinian Arab demonstrators. “It is cowardly, but we will remember this in November, won’t we?”

“The International Court of Justice recently declared that the Israeli government must halt its invasion of Rafah, yet President Biden claims what’s happening [in Gaza] is not genocide,” she continued. “Where is your red line, President Biden?”

“Undermining the International Criminal Court’s authority and meddling in the legal proceedings is merely an attempt to shield the genocidal maniac Netanyahu and his senior Israeli officials from accountability for their crimes against humanity,” she added. “You are an enabler, President Biden.”

Tlaib, known for her anti-Israel rhetoric, has maintained her stance throughout the Gaza conflict with Hamas.

After the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, Tlaib condemned Israel’s supposed “apartheid system” and criticized the U.S. for its billions in funding to “support the apartheid government.”

She has not apologized or acknowledged fault for using the phrase “from the river to the sea,” which she insists signifies Palestinian Arab freedom, though many interpret it as a call for Israel’s destruction.

Tlaib also faced backlash for claiming the IDF bombed a hospital in Gaza, which was actually struck by an Islamic Jihad rocket.

In November, the House of Representatives voted to censure Tlaib over her anti-Israel remarks.

She ended 2023 by labeling Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “genocidal maniac” in a late December Instagram post.

In March, she accused Israel of employing starvation as a weapon of war in Gaza.
