what is so great with public school education? i worked for the public school system in another state where high school teachers were teaching 5+3+4+7=. i asked one teacher how he can stand getting up in the morning and coming to work. he has little or no satisfaction. his students are not learning critical thinking skills, language (how to explain complex ideas to students) , math (in order to figure out how far a t’chum shabbos is or how high a fence must be), astronomy (how to know when rosh chodesh begins). i could go on and on. of course there are secular schools that do a decent job teaching these subjects but EVERY yeshiva teaches these subjects every single school day
