Heart Attack Patient Dies After FDNY Truck Collides With Ambulance In Brooklyn (Video)

A heart attack patient died early Thursday after an FDNY ladder truck collided with the ambulance that was rushing him to the hospital in Brooklyn, according to police and fire officials.

The fire truck, Ladder 102, was heading to a nearby blaze when it slammed into the driver’s side of the ambulance at Myrtle and Throop avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant just before 1 a.m., officials said.

A 59-year-old man inside the ambulance, who was already on his way to Woodhull Medical Center for a heart attack, was pronounced dead at the hospital, cops said.
