During the final conference call for the Cruz campaign’s National Prayer Team, Heidi Cruz compared her husband’s fight to preserve conservative values to the nineteenth-century battle to end slavery.
“I don’t want you to feel like any of this was in vain,” she assured the Texan senator’s core supporters. “This doesn’t always happen on the timing of man, and God does not work in four-year segments.
