Early one morning, a serious head-on collision occurred between a car with locals and a car with Jews on the road between Uman and Vinnytsia in Ukraine.
Ichud Hatzalah of Ukraine treated a seriously injured Rabbi Meir Liebermanesh on the spot. Three others in the car were also injured and one in the other car was found dead upon arrival.
Rabbi Liebermanesh, a Talmud Chacham and a father of eight children, was seriously injured in both of his legs and he urgently needs to be transferred to Israel so that he can receive proper medical treatment that will save his legs.
The situation in the hospitals in Ukraine is not great even in the best of times, more so during a time of war. It is imperative that R Meir get to a proper hospital to receive the care he needs. Due to his complex medical condition, a special medical flight is necessary, which involves many expenses that must be raised in a very short time.
