Dear Matzav Readers,

Many of you know me as Yehuda Nesanel ben Basha Baila, as you had Davened for me back in June of 2016 after a car accident that almost took my life.

Those in the medical field attest that the fact that I am writing this note at this juncture is miraculous, and that is exactly why I am approaching you at this time, five years later. I had written an article back in July 2016 expressing my Hakaras Hatov to all those who had Davened for me and how touching it was to hear and see my Tehillim name circling the Frum communities from all over. So now I turn to you again, but with a different favor. Klal Yisroel has taught me that when a stranger is in need, we can count on each other to pour out our hearts to Hakadosh Baruch Hu.

After my long recovery, I had approached my Rebbi in Eretz Yisroel to seek help in how I can thank Hashem in a deeper and more meaningful way every day of my life. After much discussion, I was advised that I should put in an effort to help as many people as I can, whenever I can, in every situation possible. Having been in Eretz Yisroel at the time, I decided to join United Hatzalah, and have been a dedicated member since.

BH I have had the privilege to be a part of this amazing organization and see the Chessed from up close. I alone have been able to treat over 3,000 patients within my time as a volunteer, and I cannot even imagine the numbers that make Hakadosh Baruch Hu beam with pride from all the Chessed and help that has come out from all the 6,000+ members today.

I feel blessed every single day for having been able to bentch Gomel, and I strive to help as many who call for help to do the same.

The timing of my accident and the whole recovery period was challenging in so many ways, but the selflessness and help from Klal Yisroel that was expressed for me and my family will never be forgotten.

United Hatzalah is running a campaign currently to raise funds for equipment for us to continue saving lives. Just last week I went to a call that came out for a young child with an allergic reaction. Imagine being the volunteer to feel so helpless without an epipen because the organization could not afford it for all of its volunteers.

With all the lessons that I have learnt from Klal Yisroel, I know that I can count on you. And in this Zchus we should never have to call Hatzalah anywhere, anytime with the coming of Mashiach Tzidkeinu.
