In her upcoming book, “Something Lost, Something Gained: Reflections on Life, Love, and Liberty,” Hillary Clinton, former US Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, sharply criticizes Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu for his perceived lack of accountability regarding the Hamas attack on October 7 of last year. The book is scheduled for release in the US on Tuesday, with The Guardian publishing excerpts from an advance copy on Thursday.
Clinton contrasts Netanyahu with Golda Meir, whom she regards with admiration for her leadership during the Yom Kippur War. Clinton highlights Meir’s blend of “humor and gravitas” and notes that Meir accepted responsibility by resigning and agreeing to an inquiry into the war’s failures. In stark contrast, Clinton accuses Netanyahu of “taking zero responsibility” and resisting calls for an election or stepping down from his position.
The critique of Netanyahu forms part of a larger discussion in the book about Clinton’s tenure at Columbia University, where she began her role as a professor of practice at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) in 2023. Columbia University has seen significant anti-Israel demonstrations since the October 7 attack, including protests outside Clinton’s class in recent weeks.
Clinton recounts her experiences with students on both sides of the conflict, describing the campus atmosphere as “tense with shock and grief.” She reflects on the “blank stares” she received when explaining to students that “if [then-Palestinian Authority chairman] Yasser Arafat had accepted the deal offered by my husband in 2000 for a state that the Israeli government was prepared to accept, the Palestinian people would be celebrating their 23rd year of statehood.”
At Columbia, Clinton observed that many protesters were “earnestly heartbroken” over the events of October 7 and their aftermath. However, she also noted that some used the situation as a pretext to promote antisemitic slogans, such as “From the river to the sea.” Clinton reiterates her previous call on MSNBC for Netanyahu to resign.
Who cares what this old hag has to say
Hey Hillary did you take responsibility for Benghazi?
Yeh yeh. As 4 Americans are being slaughtered in Benghazi, Hillary is burping that it was a spontaneous uprising by innocent Muslims who were offended by some transgender who allegedly put out a home made video insulting Mohammad. Yeh, Susan Rice would never lie.
You know, it’s sounds familiar.
Not taking responsibility…
Twelve years ago nearly to the day.
An ambassador was killed on Hillary’s watch.
Repeated requests for additional security in the weeks prior to that fateful day of 09/11/2012, and they were rejected by Secretary of State, who likes to write books.
Did she beat her chest and plead mea culpa?
In front of Congress and the nation, she simply said: “what difference at this point does it make?”
Is that someone who has any business pointing fingers about not taking responsibility.
Netanyahu, I guess,,would have learned not to take responsibility from whorally clinton.ben ghazi, destroying emails, loosing election because people realized she’s a filthy liar.the list goes on
If someone random stopped Hillary on the street, beat the kishke out of her, charged and arrested her, would love to see her reaction when she’s released from court and everyone is mad at her for not taking responsibility.
Benghazi?
Golda Meir resigned 6 months after the Yom Kippur war was over, not in middle of the war. Did FDR resign when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor?
Upcoming book, huh? Never heard of dead people writing books.
Are you suggesting that Hillary is no longer amongst the living?
Good morning! Had she been around, you can be sure she’d try running for president again. FYI she was dealt with in Feb 2019. That means she’s not around for almost 6 years. Only dummies follow mainstream news. The rest of us, conspiracy theorists, know what’s really happening.
