A frum man was shot and killed early Tuesday morning in Baltimore, police say.
According to a press release, police responded to Fords Lane at 12:05 AM for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, they found Ephraim Gordon, 31, suffering from a gunshot wound. Ephraim was rushed to a local hospital, but was sadly niftar a short time later.
Ephraim was visiting Baltimore from Israel for a family member’s wedding held on Lag Ba’omer and was shot has he was visiting a relative’s home.
Misaskim of Baltimore is currently working to ensure kavod hameis.
The nature of the shooting is still under police investigation and Baltimore Shomrim is helping to retrieve video footage from the scene.

Considering Baltimore demographics, AND the propensity of certain people for violent crimes, it would appear that the shooter blended into the night.
Hopefully, he will be caught and punished, but that isn’t going to bring the murdered man back to life.
Baltimore seems to be a dangerous place. Is it worth moving down there just to save a few dollars on a home?
I have been to that area and there is no way to claim that this is a high crime area, this is highly unusual for this part of town.
The wealthy people in the community need to step up now and put together money to offer a 100k dollar reward for information that leads to the arrest of these violent thugs. Someone out there likely knows something, and a large monetary reward will hopefully get them to talk to the police.

The victim is a Lubavitcher Chasid who came in for a chassunah, and was planning to visit the Rebbe’s Ohel, but was killed before he made it there.
