U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee on Tuesday congratulated Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu on the occasion of his 76th birthday.
“Happy birthday to [Netanyahu,] who in partnership with [President Donald Trump] has delivered ceasefire in Gaza and the release of living hostages & hopefully soon the remaining deceased hostages,” he stated.
The Jewish state’s longest-serving premier was born on Oct. 21, 1949, in Tel Aviv. He is the son of Benzion Netanyahu, a Poland-born expert in Jewish history and Zionist activist, and Tzila (née Segal) Netanyahu, who was born in the Land of Israel during the British Mandate.
Netanyahu has two brothers: Yonatan “Yoni” Netanyahu, who was killed in action in 1976 while leading the Entebbe rescue raid and is regarded as a national hero, and Iddo Netanyahu, a physician and writer.
Appearing on Channel 14‘s flagship show, “The Patriots,” on Saturday, host Yinon Magal surprised the premier on the occasion of his birthday.
“Mr. prime minister, thank you very much for coming to The Patriots,” Magal told Netanyahu at the end of the interview, adding: “With God’s help, may you have many more good years. May you continue to lead the people of Israel toward many successes and great victories.”
Netanyahu responded, “Thank you very much, thank you very much.”
