In a Tuesday night interview on Fox News, Eric Trump said he wants his father, President Donald Trump, to declare a national emergency to build a border wall if negotiations fall through with congressional Democrats. Sean Hannity, who reportedly has regular conversations with the president, responded that he believes Trump will do just that.

Sitting next to Hannity for a six-minute conversation, Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, blasted Democrats for fighting the president’s efforts to secure $5.7 billion in funding for a border wall, which was not part of last week’s bill to temporarily reopen the federal government after the longest shutdown in the nation’s history.

“One way or the other, he’s not giving up,” Hannity told Trump’s son. “He’s going to the mat.”

Eric Trump didn’t hesitate in offering his opinion.

“I want him to declare an emergency,” he said.

Hannity, arguably the president’s closest ally among conservative media personalities, was quick to agree.

“Oh, I think he will,” the Fox News host responded.

The statement from Eric Trump is just the latest indication that the president, citing “the security of our country,” could eventually declare a national emergency to build his wall, thus accomplishing a campaign promise that has shaped his presidency. But such a move worries Republicans in the Senate and would likely draw quick legal challenges from Democrats.

Eric Trump on Tuesday argued that his father agreed on Friday to reopen the government in the hopes that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer, D-N.Y., were “actually being truthful” in wanting to strike an agreement on border security and “negotiate something that’s fair.”

“And honestly, if they don’t, declare the emergency and build the wall with the United States military because that’s what people in this country want,” the president’s son declared. “And then redouble your efforts on legal immigration, get great people in this country because that’s what America wants and that’s what America needs.”

The interview came less than an hour after The Washington Post reported that the Trump Organization plans to institute a federal program allowing employers to verify whether new hires are legally eligible to work in the United States. The news came after The Post reported over the weekend that Trump National Golf Club in Westchester County, New York, had employed undocumented immigrants for years.

Hannity did not ask Eric Trump about either story on Tuesday.

Trump’s son and Hannity spent most of the interview targeting the current Democratic presidential contenders, with the Fox News host saying that the primary has turned into a contest of “Who can be the most radical?”

“The Democrats are not the party of JFK,” said the president’s son. He later added: “They’ve become so radicalized, it’s not going to work. They’ve become crazy. The message doesn’t even make sense anymore. It’s almost an anti-American message.”

Hannity had a similar perspective. “It’s not the values that has grown us into the envy of the world,” the host said.

Eric Trump took specific aim at Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., the former prosecutor and attorney general of California now running for president, who tweeted on Tuesday about how the families of federal workers and government contractors affected by the shutdown are still struggling to survive “because of this President’s vanity wall project.”

“You look at Kamala Harris – she always goes after ICE, she calls them the KKK,” Eric Trump said, referring to a question Harris asked Trump’s nominee to run U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Harris’ spokesperson later told the Hill that the senator’s intent was not to compare the agency to the KKK.

Eric Trump also called Harris’ proposal to eliminate all private health insurance “so ridiculous.”

As he was about to shake Eric Trump’s hand, Hannity affirmed his belief that the president wouldn’t stop until he had his border wall.

“He’s the greatest guy in the world,” Eric Trump said. “I couldn’t be more proud of him.”

“Well, the country is doing a lot better, thank God,” Hannity answered.

To which the president’s son replied, “The country is doing incredible.”

  1. Gateway Pundit) – In 2016, Kenny Cool was booted off of a Frontier Airlines flight for saying “Make America Great Again.” On Monday evening it happened once again — on the same airline.
While attempting to travel from Las Vegas back home to St. Louis, Cool was called a “school shooter” over his hat and says another passenger asserted that they want to kill the president. He was the only one escorted from the aircraft.
Just like in the incident prior to the election, which I reported on for We Are Change, Cool had boarded the plane in a MAGA hat and said the infamous slogan.
“I boarded saying ‘MAGA, Trump 2020, Roger Stone is an innocent man’ and when I got to my seat a guy said ‘hey, I like your hat’ and I thanked him. Then he said ‘just kidding,’ so I said ‘oh okay, well let’s Make America Great Again.’ He responded by saying, ‘yeah, until we kill him,’” Cool told the Gateway Pundit. “After that was when that lady chimed in calling me a school shooter. Just minutes later I was escorted off the plane without explanation.”
The airline staff claimed that Cool had been “making threats,” which he emphatically denies.
“What do you think you did?” an airline staff member can be heard asking Cool on the video after he was escorted off the plane.
During the first incident, the staff claimed that the “Make America Great Again” slogan made another passenger “feel unsafe.”
While some may say that he should have learned his lesson the first time — Cool maintains that he did nothing wrong and has every right to actively promote his views. He is correct. If someone was booted from a plane for saying “Black Lives Matter” the liberal media would be preparing to riot.
Following the last incident, a Frontier representative defended the actions of the crew. We have reached out to them for comment about this latest video and received an automatic response stating that the “email address is only for use by working journalists,” and that they will “reply as soon as possible to requests from accredited members of the media. We will update this story if they opt to provide a comment.
After the airline claimed no wrongdoing in the 2016 incident, another passenger on the flight reached out and provided this reporter with photos and details about what he had witnessed. He did not know Cool and had no connection to him prior to the flight and the story going viral.
“There was not one passenger that complained, it was all the flight attendant,” the witness said at the time. “She didn’t like it when he said ‘lets make America great again.’ Even the other flight attendants didn’t understand what had happened. They stood behind my seat talking about having to write a report on something they didn’t understand.”
“The flight attendant made a scene over absolutely nothing is what the other passengers were saying,” the witness declared.
If you were on last night’s flight and saw the incident, please contact The Gateway Pundit.
Cool is now seeking legal representation and intends to file a lawsuit against the airline.

and President Trump is not allowed to boot the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS out of the United States – HUH?????????

  2. Trump Eric sure. Maga Mega or Maga Maggot. One word fits.

Red hats hitting the actor today with homophobic slurs. Who started this and do we now have a red hat emergency?

Hats off Donald. We needed a better image of a president. I remain your friend. Give Eric a grade to earn. My respect.
