Twenty one rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip into Israel on Sunday afternoon, with 10 being intercepted by the military’s missile defense system, the IDF spokespersons unit said in a statement.
“Following reports, about 20 [rocket] launches were identified from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory,” the statement reads. “Air defense systems intercepted 10 of them.”
The projectiles targeted multiple cities in the south of the country. No injuries or damage to property have been reported, with rockets said to have been shot down mid-air or hit open non-residential areas.
