Due to attempts by Hamas to reorganize its terrorist infrastructure and soldiers in Jabaliya, on Saturday morning, the IDF called on the civilian population of the area to temporarily evacuate to shelters in western Gaza City.
The evacuation is intended to to reduce harm to the civilian population and to move civilians away from the combat zone, in accordance with international law.
Additionally, the IDF called on the civilians from additional areas in eastern Rafah to temporarily evacuate to the expanded Humanitarian Area in Al-Mawasi. The IDF is continuing its operations in specific parts of eastern Rafah, targeting the source of rocket fire and other terrorist activities from Hamas in the area.
At this time, an estimated 300,000 Gazans have moved towards the expanded Humanitarian Area in Al-Mawasi.
The IDF is communicating these calls for the temporary evacuation through flyers, SMS messages, phone calls and even media broadcasts in Arabic.
