At least six Islamic Jihad fighters were killed when Israeli planes bombed the Syrian capital Damascus, the militant group announced Monday.
A statement from Islamic Jihad’s armed wing said the two men, who it identified as members, were killed during the “Zionist bombing in Damascus,” which took place late Sunday night.
The Israeli army admitted to carrying out the air strikes against the terror organization in Syria on Sunday in response to rocket fire from Gaza.
