IDF Kills Three ‘Armed Suspects’ Near Gaza Border Following Rocket Fire

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its helicopter and tank opened fire at “armed suspects” along the northern barrier that separates Israel from the Gaza Strip, apparently killing three Palestinians according to their health ministry.

The IDF spokesperson said several armed Gaza militants were trying to breach the border in what he called a “serious security incident,”, several hours after rockets were fired towards southern Israeli communities, marking the second night in a row residents were sent dashing to bomb shelters.

Reports originally suggested all five who approached the border were killed but the Palestinian health ministry said Sunday morning three were killed.
