Yahadut Torah chairman Yaakov Litzman mocked the election’s presumed kingmakers on his way into a meeting of right-wing faction heads at the Prime Minister’s Office.

“Who is Liberman? Is he a minister?”

Asked for his reaction to Liberman’s take-it-or-leave it conditions that he would only sit in a coalition with Blue and White and Likud, the deputy health minister says he’s prepared to sit with the staunchly secular lawmaker if he starts putting on tefillin and keeping Shabbos.

  1. Litzman making fool of himself. Biggest problem will be when Likud sticks it to the Chareidim and joins a unity govt with blue and white and Lieberman and puts the Arabs as the leader of the opposition. This entitles them to advanced security briefings and other things that they shouldn’t be allowed to have

    What is the point of saying things like that?

    Why descend to Lieberman’s level? If he b’shitta is unwilling to sit in a coalition with people like Lieberman I understand but why mock them and make things worse?

  3. is this the smartest thing he could of come up with to say? as is the left is demanding restricting religious laws etc. so his retort is to reinforce that litzman wants to dictate his and the chilonims religious observance.
