shooting-flatbushAn important Town Hall meeting will be held tonight for the Flatbush community. The meeting will be hosted by Councilman Lew Fidler, Assemblywoman Helene Weinstei, and Councilman Jumaane D. Williams to address pressing issues regarding city and government services in the East 30’s neighborhood of Flatbush.

“It is no secret that we are all very concerned about the recent stabbing episode of this past weekend and we have been working with the commanding officer of the 63rd Precinct to address these and other crimes that have been occurring,” Mr. Chaskel Bennet and Mr. Rafi Treitel told Matzav.com. “Other issues including poor sanitation service and snow removal as well as important quality of life concerns demand a large and vocal presence at this meeting. In order for our legitimate concerns to be heard and understood by our elected officials, we must come out and share them in a responsible and respectful manner. This is an opportunity to make our voices heard.”

The new commanding officer of the 63rd precinct, Captain Michael Dedo, has been praised for his leadership and will be attending this important meeting to listen to and discuss recent current NYPD efforts to combat crime in our neighborhood.

The meeting will be held tonight, at 7:30, at Yeshiva Tiferes Yisroel, located at 1271 East 35th Street, in the basement.

  1. We also have to give credit when credit is due.

This past week, the garbage collection, which is normally Thursday came on Shabbos.

Instead of leaving the empty cans strewn around the sidewalk, the sanitation workers left them neatly towards the alley.

Obviously knowing that most people wouldn’t be able to bring them back until after Shabbos.

    Thank You,Sanitation Engineers

  2. Do my dear brothers in Flatbush think that it is time to come home to Eretz Yisroel yet? Hopefully the meeting will address this very important issue as well.

  3. to Beast & everyone
These issues taking place now & anti-semitsm growing worldwide are just a few wake up calls that its time for Klal Yisroel to come home to Eretz Yisroel. The only reason it is full of crime & latino immigrants is a reminder from Hashem that Brooklyn is not our home & Eretz Yisroel is our REAL home. Wake up NOW before things get worse & we need more reminders from hashem C”V.

but we just don’t seem to miss Eretz Yisroel & are not yearning for Mashiach. Hashem is telling us when you can show me that you miss Eretz Yisroel & go there i will give you Mashiach & the bais hamikdosh but right now your all just not ready.

All of us have heard, read & seen tons of true stories of people who had their first child at 42 or had a sick child that the doctor said i’m very sorry but your daughter has only 3 hours to live & then he comes back 2 hours later & says its really a miracle but your child is beginning to recover. Why is it that they finally had a child or the child recovered? Its a Pasuk we say 3 times a day in Davening. Hashem is close to all who call to him, to all who call out truthfully. (Tehillim 145)Because they cried out from their heart, they really meant what they were saying when they davened to H-shem to have a baby or for his daughter to recover etc…. theres a reason we call Hashem, Avinu She’bashamayim (our father in heaven) Hashem loves us from a father to a son. If we really cried out for the Bais Hamikdosh from our heart with truth & show that we are missing it, then we wouldn’t still be in Golus today.
