In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC organized this week an aid shipment to Houston containing products that will be used in the cleanup and rebuilding efforts there.

“The message to the people of Texas is ‘Israel stands with you,’” embassy spokesperson Itai Bardov said.

According to Bardov, “several tons” of goods were sent to Houston by truck.

“The whole staff at the embassy pitched in,” he told The Algemeiner. “Everyone just left their offices, rolled up their sleeves and helped with the heavy lifting.”

The initiative was collaborative operation involved the embassy, Foreign Ministry, IsraAid and Movers 495 (an American-Israeli co-owned moving and storage company).

On Monday, Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Ministry announced it was planning to provide $1 million in emergency assistance to the Houston Jewish community.

“The Jewish state is measured by its response when our brothers around the world are in crisis,” Diaspora Affairs Minister Naftali Bennett declared in a statement.

  1. Typical Zionist policy – show the entire world how compassionate they are to everyone (while the poor in their own country are starving).
