In a letter addressed to leading Roshei Yeshiva, a strong call was made by gedolei Eretz Yisroel to engage in proactive ruchniyusdike measures in light of the current security and safety threats in Eretz Yisroel.
The letter was penned by Rav Dov Landau and Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, roshei yeshiva of Yeshivas Slabodka in Bnei Brak.
The letter appeals to yeshivos across the country to start the winter zeman on Wednesday, earlier than initially planned, and to dedicate additional time to limud haTorah and tefillah to invoke Divine protection.
Citing past experiences, the letter underscores that in times of elevated risk, it is essential to intensify limud haTorah and mitzvah observance as a collective defense. “There is no room for vacations or delays,” the letter states.
