At least six fires were lit in southern Israel on Thursday after balloons carrying incendiary were launched from the Gaza Strip, according to an Israeli Fire and Rescue Services statement.

Two of the fires started in Be’eri Forest and four others in Kissufim Forest, two nature reserves located on the border of Israel and Gaza.

Slight damage was caused to a wheat field in one of the fires, a spokesperson for the Eshkol regional council said, confirming that there was no danger to nearby towns.

Fire and Rescue Services said the fires were “small” and were “quickly brought under control”.

In Gaza, the “balloon unit”, Ibna Al-Zuwari, said it launched balloons carrying incendiary devices to Israel.

“This is just the start,” the group warned in a statement.

  1. Israel should retake parts of Gaza. If they prove that they cannot reside there civilly, they should not have it. I don’t care the slightest that they might be overcrowded. Until Israel punishes them strongly, these subhuman savages will continue their terror.

  2. Don’t worry fellow Americans!
Our duly elected president will pour millions of American tax dollars into their coiffers and all will be hunky-dawree!
