On Sunday, incoming US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee stated that the Trump administration is likely to bring about transformative changes in the Middle East, commenting that these shifts could be “biblical proportions” as Arab nations continued to express concern over the new US president’s proposal for the evacuation of Gaza’s population and the eventual transfer of control over the territory.
Huckabee pointed out in an interview with Fox News that Hamas poses a direct threat to Israel, explaining, “As long as Hamas exists, that is a threat to the Israelis. They want the destruction of the Jewish state.”
He went on to emphasize, “One thing we know is that Hamas is not going to be able to exist. That’s just a done deal.”
Though Huckabee has not yet been formally confirmed as US Ambassador to Israel, he supported Trump’s proposal to restructure Gaza, which suggests relocating the entire population to facilitate rebuilding the region into a prosperous tourist destination. Huckabee described the president’s move as “bold.”
The proposal has sparked backlash across much of the Arab world, with many countries refusing to accept Gazan refugees during the ongoing war, and viewing any displacement—temporary or permanent—as a threat to Palestinian self-determination and territorial claims.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu initially appeared shocked by Trump’s suggestion to have the US “take over” Gaza but has since voiced his approval, calling it “the first good idea that I’ve heard.”
Soon after, Defense Minister Israel Katz directed the military to create a plan for those Gazans wishing to leave the Strip voluntarily.
Despite some support, most analysts view Trump’s proposal as unlikely to materialize, with nations such as Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia rejecting the idea of large-scale Palestinian displacement, and no other countries stepping forward to take on such a contentious responsibility.
“Let’s hope that people will listen to President Trump,” Huckabee said on Sunday. “He’s not thinking outside the box. He throws out the box and says let’s start with a blank slate.”
A former Arkansas governor, Baptist minister, and staunch Israel supporter, Huckabee expressed his belief that the Trump administration will achieve “something of biblical proportions during this administration in the Middle East.”

How soon? Israel is desperate!
I’m not sure that this can become reality, but the idea has merit.
The Palis were Jordanian, but at the formation of Israel, Jordan refused to allow them into its borders. The tribes that comprised these people were savage and uncivilized. Not much has changed. They have never had life better than when under the sovereign of Israel. However, the bloodthirsty animals have spent their entire existence trying to take everything Israel has. Take the land, murder its people, even destroy Jews everywhere else. And we have observed, mostly Democrats, that believe the cries for bloodshed are about independence. How stupid and how evil.
Israel gave Gaza to these subhuman primates. They destroyed whatever could be useful to a civil life, and the worst of these wild animals took over by force. Hamas and other terror groups cannot be permitted to survive. Sorry Biden, Obama, Kamala, and the rest of the terror supporters.
Trump has a huge hurdle with this idea. No Arab country wants the Palis. They will not humanize, and cannot be absorbed anywhere. Great idea, but I cannot be optimistic.
