Plan? Who needs a plan?

That’s essentially what Mayor Bill de Blasio admitted Thursday when he confessed that there was no reopening plan in place for the city’s public schools, which closed indefinitely Thursday to in-person learning due to rising COVID-19 rates.

“What I have learned sometimes, is sometimes it is hard to imagine the next phase until you get there. You do your damnedest to plan ahead, but you can’t always do that. We have a really ever-changing situation here,” de Blasio said during a City Hall press briefing when pressed by a Post reporter as to why a reopening plan had not been prepared.

  1. In fairness it isn’t up to him.

The Teachers Union is going to tell when they (don’t) feel like having the schools reopen.

Why should he make himself crazy figuring out when to reopen when The Teachers Union will dictate to him when he can or can’t open anyhow?

  2. No reopening plan as it all depends on the riots that are expected with NY turning red. We’ll wait and see.

  3. He’s not incompetent, he’s the court’s jester and Mike Mulgrew is this City’s generational Paul Winchell. Take away automatic check off for union dues, for all municipal unions and two great things will happen. 1. the downfall and disappearance of the career politician. 2. accountability in schools and this city will finally get S.M.A.R.T.
