INSANE: Jewish Anti-Zionist Protesters Storm NYC’s Trump Tower In Support of Mahmoud Khalil

Today, a group of demonstrators stormed Trump Tower in New York City, demanding the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia University protest organizer who had been detained.

The protest was sparked by intense criticism of the Trump administration’s decision to detain Khalil, leading to a legal struggle and daily demonstrations in New York since his arrest on Motzoei Shabbos.

The anti-Zionist organization Jewish Voice for Peace shared images showing protesters chanting inside the lobby of the Midtown Manhattan building.

“Free Mahmoud, free them all,” the protesters shouted.

The demonstrators carried signs reading, “Fight Nazis, not students,” and “Jews for Palestinian Freedom,” while wearing red shirts emblazoned with the slogan “Stop arming Israel.”

JVP issued a statement saying, “As Jews, we are taking over the Trump Tower to register our mass refusal. We will not stand by as this fascist regime attempts to criminalize Palestinians and all those calling for an end to the Israeli government’s US-funded genocide of the Palestinian people.”

The group also posted videos showing police removing protesters from the building.

According to the NYPD, multiple individuals were taken into custody, though the exact number of arrests and charges had not yet been determined.

Khalil, a green card holder who completed his graduate studies at Columbia University in December, was a prominent leader of the university’s anti-Israel protest group.

He was apprehended by immigration agents outside his New York home on Saturday and remains in detention as his legal team fights for his release in a Manhattan federal court.

The White House has stated that Khalil’s detention and potential deportation stem from his group’s distribution of pro-Hamas material, noting that federal law bars non-citizens from advocating for terrorist organizations.
