770-eastern-parkwayCrown Heights, NY – A disturbance by an intruder in 770 Eastern Parkway caused apprehension among hundreds of Lubavitchers on Shabbos afternoon.

According to a witness, a black male entered the main shul of 770 Eastern Parkway at approximately 3:30 pm, and began to act in an irrational manner, shouting at hundreds of local Jewish residents who were in the Shul.

Sergeant Falk of the 71 Precinct and other police officers who were on the scene due to the Pesach holiday were quick to respond, and apprehended the individual, who became violent to the police officers as well.

The individual was determined to have psychological issues, and has been hospitalized for evaluation, a source from the 71 Precinct told COLlive.

No one was harmed in the incident.

  1. I am equally amazed and dismayed that guards have not been posted at the entrances to 770 in the past.

Perhaps someone would explain this to me, please?

  2. No big deal. New York is full of poor souls who need mental health care but fall through the cracks – probably becaue there are more cracks than floor. At least no one was hurt – for that we should be grateful.
