ISIS jihadis have blown up the landmark Great Mosque of al-Nuri, the mosque where Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the ISIS leader, declared the creation of the so-called caliphate in summer 2014.

The mosque, which is one of the most famous buildings in Mosul’s Old City, has taken on extra significance in recent months as the Iraqi army battle to regain the city from ISIS.

While the military claims ISIS was behind the detonation in order to avoid the shame of conceding a monumental landmark, ISIS says that the mosque was destroyed in an American airstrike.

  1. Mosque was built in 1172. Destroyed by the “Moslem” ISIS on the eve of their end-of-Ramadan holiday. (No, the US did NOT do it.)

That’s like the crazy Meah She’arim-niks yelling Nazi at Jewish soldiers and policemen.

    Oh, wait.

    • Your use of quotation marks to insinuate that ISIS is not Muslim (a sentiment commonly expressed by President Hussein), is completely ignorant: it is a venerable Muslim tradition, going back to at least the Sunni and Shia schism, to kill other Muslims. Destroying ancient Islamic artifacts is actually commonly done in Mecca of all places.
Your lame attempt to equate genocidal islamonazis to peaceful Jewish protesters reveals a lack of critical thinking skills. Saying outrageous things is protected as a free political speech in the civilized societies, murdering is usually frowned upon.
