Islamic State Claims Responsibility For London Terror Attack


Islamic State has claimed responsibility for a stabbing attack in South London on Sunday as one of its fighters, the group’s Amaq news agency said on Monday.

“The attacker in the Streatham area in south London yesterday is an IS fighter, and he carried out the attack in response to a call to target nationals” of countries belonging to the global anti-IS coalition, IS’s propaganda arm said in a statement released through the Telegram messaging application.

The assailant, identified as Sudesh Amman, was shot dead in south London on Sunday after a suspected stabbing attack, Metropolitan police reported on its Twitter account, with the incident declared terror-related.
