Negotiations between the Likud and Blue and White parties have collapsed as Israel looks more certainly to head into its fourth elections in less than two years, Hebrew media reported on Monday.

According to i24NEWS correspondent Owen Alterman, Defense Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz does not have enough votes within his party to approve delaying parliament’s dissolution until at least December 31.

As a result, the Blue and White leader issued an ultimatum to the Likud with five demands, adding that he does not think Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will consent.

Netanyahu “is supposed to get back to me. I think he will say ‘no’ and the Knesset [Israel Parliament] will dissolve tomorrow,” Gantz told his party members, according to outlet Walla News.

  1. At risk of elections? That would be the best thing. I give my blessings that there should be monthly elections until the coming of Moshiach bimherah.
