The Israeli health ministry confirmed on Saturday that it decided to ban from entry a group of South Korean tourists headed to the country over fears the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier in the day the ministry caused shock waves in Israel by confirming that nine people diagnosed with coronavirus from South Korea had stayed in Israel for a trip between February 8 and 15 before returning to their home country.
The Ministry of Health has asked that anyone who was in close contact with the members of the group to place themselves in isolation in their home for 14 days and to consult a doctor, in case of fever higher than 38 degrees, cough or other respiratory symptoms.
