Israel’s security cabinet on Sunday will vote on a proposal to deduct NIS 150 million, or $43 million, from Palestinian tax revenues for stipends paid by the Authority to the families of terrorist who perpetrate attacks against Israelis.

The proposal, expected to be brought up by Defense Minister Naftali Bennett, is in accordance with the law passed last year that stipulates slashing tax transfers to the PA unless welfare payments to convicted terrorists and their families are stopped.

Israel views the Palestinian government’s refusal to end the payments as evidence of its continued support for terrorism against the Jewish state.
