Israel Election: Midway Voter Turnout Stands At Only 34.6% – Lowest Figure Since 2009

As of 2 pm on Tuesday, Israel’s voter turnout stood at only 34.6 percent, the lowest figure recorded since 2009 and a 3.5-percent decrease compared to the previous general election in March 2020.

Polling stations opened at 7 am earlier in the day, as the country faced its fourth election in less than two years.

In total, a little more than 2.25 million Israelis have cast ballots since this morning.

  1. Fourth election in two years? Why bother voting for politicians who can’t get along with one another? Might as well put up dart boards and see which candidate gets hit first.

    Oh, wait a minute — only governors use dart boards in politics.
