Israel is finalizing a plan to permit tourists who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 entry into the country, Tourism Minister Orit Farkash-Hacohen said on Wednesday.
In a tweet, she announced that in the coming week, she expects to approve a draft roadmap for bringing tourists into the Jewish state.
The plan will be staged, she said, with group tours becoming available first to those who have been inoculated against the coronavirus.
Over time, the country will open for individual tours too, she added.
