“Significant progress” has been made in Egyptian-brokered peace talks between Israel and the Gaza-ruling Hamas group, Israel’s Channel 13 News reported on Sunday based on Palestinian sources.
There are still issues in dispute as negotiations continue, while Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh is expected to meet top intelligence officials in Cairo Monday.
The talks come following what has become a routine tit-for-tat exchange of Gaza rocket fire and Israeli airstrikes over the weekend.
