Israel Health Ministry Pushing For Month-Long Lockdown Over Yomim Tovim

Health Minister Yuli Edelstein on Thursday called for the Israeli government to reimpose a full national lockdown ahead of the Yomim Noraim which begin next Friday with the start of Rosh Hashanah.

The lockdown would only be lifted following the end of Sukkos on October 9.

The health minister’s plan would include shutting down all academic institutions, workplaces, and banning public and private gatherings. It also calls for the entire public sector to be placed in a “state of emergency.”

  1. We don’t even see anyone protesting the lockdowns in Israel. In my opinion, the reason is that there is no concept of personal freedom and liberty there.
