The Israeli police officer who shot and killed 19-year-old Solomon Tekah was indicted Tuesday morning on negligent homicide charges, Hebrew-language broadcaster Channel 12 reported.
The investigation concluded that the police officer was indeed threatened by the teen but acted negligently by firing live bullets toward the ground, near Tekah’s feet, according to the report.
The maximum punishment for the offense is three years in prison.
