According to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Israel and its international partners have successfully prevented over 50 Iranian-planned attacks targeting Israelis and Jews abroad in recent years. Gallant made this statement during his visit to Azerbaijan, emphasizing the ongoing shadow war between Israel and Iran characterized by accusations of sabotage and assassination plots.

“At its supreme leader’s orders, Iran has in recent years waged a worldwide terror campaign of unprecedented scale, focused on Israelis and Jews … We are talking about more than 50 attempted attacks,” Israeli media quoted Gallant as saying.

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen also accused Iran of orchestrating a foiled attempt to attack Israel’s embassy in Baku, although Azeri officials have not yet confirmed this allegation. Gallant, as reported by Israeli media, attributed the global terror campaign to Iran’s supreme leader and highlighted that it specifically targeted Israelis and Jews. He praised Israel’s security services and credited their close cooperation with numerous countries for the prevention of these attacks.

Iranian officials have not issued an immediate response to these allegations. Azerbaijan, situated on Iran’s border, is a significant defense partner for Israel.
