The Israel Institute for Biological Research (IIBR) will start testing its vaccine against COVID-19 coronavirus in October, Defense Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz announced.
The trials would come after the Jewish holidays this fall, Gantz said after touring the research facility on Thursday.
The country’s Health Ministry will be involved in the trials, and all necessary safety requirements and standards will be upheld, Gantz vowed.
