Israel: Weekend Lockdowns To Imposed Only Next Week

A new government plan to impose nationwide lockdowns every weekend will only be put into place starting next week, not this coming weekend.

Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that the ministerial forum headed by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had endorsed a plan to impose new restrictions aimed at combating the coronavirus, including nationwide lockdowns imposed every weekend.

Contrary to initial reports, however, the first weekend lockdown will not be imposed until next week at the earliest.

  1. We are learning what it’s like for Palestinians with these random decrees. Country is run by a committee of fools that don’t understand anything but lockdowns.

  2. If it were really a medical issue to shoot the fevers out of the people, they’d have a lockdown for 4 weeks straight. A lockdown of 1-2 day per week is sheer political.

  3. In Europe and elsewhere America sent military troops with tanks to eradicate the coronas. Why are no US tanks rolling down the streets in Israel yet?

    • Yes, just like doctors. One is only allowed to get sick or hurt, Monday thru Thursday 9:00 to 5:00. Any other time, too bad. No weekends. “Would you like to make an appointment”? The doctor can take a look at that wound in 2 weeks from now. Huh, what?
