We can all express a collective: Finally.

Israel’s Health Ministry is going to consider halting its law requiring fully vaccinated and boosted Israelis to quarantine after coming in contact with a positive case of the Omicron COVID variant.

Officials are now saying that such a change is expected to be made sometime over the next week or so, as close to 100,000 Israelis are currently in quarantine. Over 40,000 of those are school-age children.

Fully vaccinated Israelis who either have a booster dose or were vaccinated or recovered in the past six months were not required to quarantine after coming in contact with a positive Covid patient, but with the advent of omicron, a 7-day quarantine was mandated for those who come in contact with someone with omicron, or someone who suspected of being infected with omicron even if fully vaccinated.

Boruch Hashem, that may change soon.

  1. Makes no sense. If they’re exposed to the baloney omicron, they should be quarnatined like everyone else. Will the vaccinated finally be able to take their masks off like non-vaccinated have been doing until now or would they need another few boosters for that?
