Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu dismissed media claims on Monday suggesting he intends to travel to Washington this weekend for a meeting with US President Donald Trump.

Early Monday, Israeli outlets reported that Netanyahu was planning to depart for Washington on Motzoei Shabbos to meet with Trump, despite the International Criminal Court (ICC) issuing an arrest warrant against him.

The reports indicated that the trip would coincide with the start of discussions on the second phase of a Gaza ceasefire and a prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Hamas.

However, Netanyahu’s spokesperson, Omer Dostri, clarified that there has been “no official invitation” from the White House regarding such a visit.
