Israel has agreed to a cease-fire with Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu’s office announced a short while ago.
Netanyahu’s security cabinet, in a late-night meeting, approved the Egyptian-brokered deal to end nearly two weeks of fighting.
Several local reports said the cease-fire would begin at 2 a.m. local time Friday.
There was no immediate reaction from Hamas.
