fire-homeIsraeli settlers set fire to a Palestinian home northeast of Ramallah early Sunday.

Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors settler activity in the northern West Bank, told Ma’an that a group of extremist settlers raided the village of Khirbet Abu Falah and torched the home of Abd al-Karim Hussein Hamayil.

The settlers then threw a fire bomb into the house through a window before fleeing the scene, Daghlas said.

He said Hamayil’s widow and her three daughters were inside the house at the time of the attack.

A number of rooms were torched, but no injuries were reported.

  1. We are in the middle of all this extremist Jews that cause harm on one side and antisemitic people on the other. I do not know how you feel but i get a sense that it is becoming more and more dangerous to be a Jew than ever because despite the lesson of history there are very few that have learn anything from them.

  2. Its chaval that these Jews had to go mess it up for us.. the world jumps on every opportunity to equate Jewish and Arab savagery – and this is a perfect incident for them to sink their teeth into. we are above the arabs. of course, this action didn’t come anywhere close to the atrocities that were committed in Har Nof – but we don’t have to mimic their horrific behavior to any extent. unless this payback was targeted specifically at the terrorists, which – correct me if im wrong, but i don’t believe it is – this kind of misplaced retaliation is destructive for the Jews MORE than it is for the Arabs.

  3. This situation is going to get out of hand with these extremist taking the law into their own hand. Not a good situation…much as I understand them

  4. Um… How do we know that “settlers” or “extremists” did this? Because Arabs said so?? I’d reserve judgment until RELIABLE details come out.

  5. I agree that they should not take the law into their own hands. But when law enforcement doesn’t do its job, what choice do they have?

  6. I don’t neccessarliy believe that this is true! Arabs torch their own Mosque, the Jews are blamed and when it is revealed that the Arabs did it themselves, the damage and defamation to Jews has already been accomplished. How many times does this need to happen before we catch on.

  7. It’s not going to help us in the eyes of the world, but the arabs understand this reaction and respect it more than they do any “reasonable”, calm, peace-talk negotiation type of response. and they would retaliate for that kind of response too.
BTW, the article doesn’t explain why “the home of Abd al-Karim Hussein Hamayil” was chosen, especially if he’s dead. Was he a macher in Hamas?
