A Philadelphia-based non-profit disinvited an Israeli food truck from participating in an scheduled event on Father’s Day weekend after protests and threats against the presence of the Israeli vendor.

“In order to provide the best experience to all, we decided to remove one of our food vendors from Sunday’s event,” the Eat Up the Borders group said in a statement posted to Instagram.

“This decision came from listening to the concerns of community that we love and serve. Our intent is never to cause any harm. We’re sorry, and we realize being more educated is the first step in preventing that from happening again.”

The group has subsequently deleted its social media accounts following backlash over the decision.
