Danon appeared to refute media reports that he had made a decision about running in the Likud party primaries.

Ambassador Danny Danon refuted local media reports on Wednesday that suggested he was resigning from his position as Israel’s Representative to the United Nations in order run as a candidate in the Likud party primaries.

“On behalf of Ambassador Danon, the recent reports of his resignation are incorrect,” the Israeli mission to the UN told i24NEWS. “After a decision is reached in the Knesset, he will announce his intentions,” the statement continued, leaving his stance on the matter open-ended.
