Imposing a fourth nationwide lockdown on Israel is not beyond the realms of possibility despite the country’s vast, record-setting vaccination campaign, coronavirus czar Prof Nachman Ash said on Wednesday.

Speaking with Channel 12 News, Ash criticized the decision to reopen Ben Gurion Airport, saying it was “far from ideal” and “brought with it the risk that new virus strains will be introduced into Israel.”

Last week, Israel announced it would reopen its main international airport on Sunday, in order to repatriate Israeli citizens ahead of parliamentary elections slated to be held on March 23.

  1. What will the 4th lockdown accomplish that the first 3 didn’t?

Too bad people had to go along with this power control over them all due to the good liberal citizens of the world who believe in doing the right thing. Now it’s too late

  2. New lockdowns will begin a day after elections, 2 days before Pesach, to stop families celebrating together. It worked last year and they consider the public too dumb not to adhere.
In the meantime, they already declared that there may be 300 people! in the election centers at the same time and 500 people outside – no quarantine necessary.
