Israel’s High Court of Justice annulled Monday a directive to demolish the home of a Palestinian terrorist who took part in the murder of 19-year-old First Sgt. Dvir Sorek in August 2019.

In their majority decision, two justices – Judges Uzi Fogelman and Anat Baron – wrote that the terrorist’s family, his wife and three children, did not know of his deeds, therefore, the punishment is not proportional.

Terrorist Mahmoud Attawone is charged with intentionally causing death for his involvement and complicity in the stabbing attack against Sorek — among other offenses, Hebrew-language outlet Walla News reported.

  1. That’s silly. It doesn’t matter who “knew about it”. This is supposed to act as a deterrent for future would be terrorists. The idea is that they should think twice about volunteering for the job if they know that their family’s life will be ruined.

    • I’m no liberal but this ruling seems correct.

How would you like getting directly punished for something a relative of yours did without your knowledge as a deterrent?

The Torah says “Lo Yomusu Avos Al Bonim”

Even if punishing (assumed) innocent people would be a deterrent (rather than inflaming the Palestinians even more) the ends don’t justify the means.

  3. Didn’t we say that the self-appointed pro-Arab radical leftist judges in the high court of injustice run the country and Bibi and all ministers are their puppet.

  4. OK from now on the terrorists will keep it a secret from their family and there will be no consequences. That’s insane.

  5. Israel’s left wing judges are almost as crazy as our left wing lunatic judges here in the United States.
