Two new shuls were inaugurated at Istanbul’s new international airport, considered to be the largest in the world.
“There are more Turkish Airlines flights from Tel Aviv to Istanbul then from Istanbul to London,” said Rabbi Mendy Chitrik, the Chabad emissary and Ashkenazi rabbi of Turkey. “They supply between 600 and 5,000 Kosher meals daily, certified by the Rabbinate of Turkey, under my supervision.”
“It is heartwarming that even in Istanbul, every Jew can lay tefillin and pray. The Turkish government does not interfere. Synagogues have been functioning in Istanbul for over 1,000 years. The Jewish community is, thank God, active and thriving,” the rabbi added.

Dear. Will the remainder of the jewish world realize we actually worship a King? I dare the chelonei to actually put a limit on their eye to manner of gashmius. We have too much humor to deserve a daily conversation about why jews are putting madness before their children by the reform that feeds them blind hate.

Interestingly I was just looking at internet sites describing the Istanbul Jewish Community today. In addition to Rabbi Chitrik’s Ashkenazic synagogue which is over a century old, there are 18 other synagogues, all orthodox but none Ashkenazi.
Istanbul also appears to be crawling (literally) with feral cats, giving Jews and non-Jews opportunity to be compassionate to some of God’s most beautiful creatures.
