Italian authorities said Sunday more than 5,800 migrants have been rescued and 10 bodies found off the Libyan coast. The migrants were saved during 17 separate operations by Italian and French ships over the weekend, the Italian coast guard said. Authorities expect the number of people rescued to rise as smugglers take advantage of calmer waters in the coming weeks. Read more at BBC.
