Jared Kushner: My Father-in-Law Donald Trump Is ‘Not an Anti-Semite’

In a forceful op-ed in his own New York Observer on Wednesday, publisher Jared Kushner fought back against accusation that his father-in-law, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, is an “anti-Semite” for tweeting a meme of Hillary Clinton that featured a Star of David and hundred dollar bills.

“Donald Trump is not anti-Semitic and he’s not a racist,” Kushner wrote in the piece. “Despite the best efforts of his political opponents and a large swath of the media to hold Donald Trump accountable for the utterances of even the most fringe of his supporters—a standard to which no other candidate is ever held—the worst that his detractors can fairly say about him is that he has been careless in retweeting imagery that can be interpreted as offensive.”

The article was a direct rebuke to an open letter published on the paper’s website the day before by writer Dana Schwartz, who challenged Kushner to denounce the campaign’s anti-Semitic streak. Instead, the publisher only defended Trump. Read more at The Observer.

  1. This whole brouhaha over whether Trump is anti semitic is so ridiculous. They would NEVER make such accusations that need to be answered regarding a Democrat. Did the media ask that of Hillary? Of course not. Even with her kiss of Suha Arafat and her association with Blumenthal and her taking money from known anti semitic Arabs, the media remains quiet. I actually lost some respect for Trump for his answering the media’s accusation. He is turning into just another Romney/McCain, always nervous, looking over his shoulder to see what CNN is accusing him of. By the Democrats: it’s the seriousness of the accusation is all that matters. The Republicans are so weak and spineless that they fold like a cheap camera at the slightest hint of an accusation.

  2. Trump may not lip the words “hate Israel” but it is in his gesture, intonation, uncanny manner and constant joked hate of much human creed.

Living this year is terrifying by the sight of many rising laughs from the enemy and those who do hate jews.
