Jimmy Carter Tells Booker: ‘I Hope You Run For President’

Former President Jimmy Carter urged Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) to run for president in an Instagram Live video on Sunday.

“I’m very glad to have you here this morning, and I hope you come back,” Carter said to the visiting Booker. “And I hope you run for president.” Booker thanked Carter, telling him: “You encouraging me means more to me than you can imagine.”

Booker is one of a slew of potential Democratic candidates generating buzz ahead of the 2020 election, though he has not yet announced his candidacy.

  1. Jimmy Carter is desperate for someone else to take his place in history as the worst American president. While Obama succeeded, some were so enamored by him, that an even more useless candidate is now required.

  2. Why does the NFL continue to encourage the referees to cheat for the Patriots? The KS Chief’s clearly outplayed the lazy Patriots but every call went the Patriots way. The bookies threatened the higher up’s that a Rams/Chiefs Superbowl would be a bummer?
