President Biden defended China’s actions regarding a spy balloon incident over American military sites. He claimed that President Xi Jinping and the Chinese leadership were unaware of the balloon’s location and its contents, suggesting it was unintentional and embarrassing rather than intentional.

During a press briefing on his way to a campaign rally in Philadelphia for the 2024 election, Biden stated, “I don’t think the leadership knew where it was, and knew what was in it, and knew what was going on. I think it was more embarrassing than it was intentional.” He expressed hopes of engaging in further discussions with Xi, emphasizing the importance of addressing differences and finding ways to cooperate.

Republicans strongly criticized Biden’s response to the incursion. Representative Mike Lawler (R-NY) expressed disbelief, stating, “I’m not sure how the President could say that with a straight face. Not only was it intentional, it was a direct threat to our national security. China is our greatest geopolitical foe.” Representative Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) accused Biden of being compromised and highlighted evidence reviewed by the House Oversight Committee.

Meanwhile, in Nevada, Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis criticized Biden’s policies on energy, spending, and border control. He pledged to send Biden “back to his basement… where he belongs” and called for restoring sanity in the country, emphasizing the need to reverse its decline.

Before departing in Marine 1 for an aerial tour of the I-95 overpass cleanup efforts in Philadelphia, Biden expressed the significance of the project and its importance to the country. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro assured that the roadway would reopen within the next two weeks. However, Senator John Fetterman’s remarks about Biden’s infrastructure bill were unclear but appeared to praise its impact on rebuilding bridges across America.

Tensions between the United States and China have escalated during Biden’s presidency. Recent developments include the admission of a Chinese spy base in Cuba, Beijing’s militarization of reefs in the South China Sea, increased surveillance of Americans, and threats to invade Taiwan. Biden acknowledged China’s legitimate difficulties unrelated to the United States without specifying them.

Notably, Biden and Xi have not spoken since February, following the incident where the spy balloon was shot down by US Air Force fighter jets over the Atlantic Ocean, sparking anger from China.

During a campaign rally at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Biden focused on domestic issues and his pro-union stance, proclaiming himself the most pro-union president in American history. He mentioned a decline in inflation for the past 11 months, without acknowledging that his administration’s fiscal policies contributed to the significant increase in consumer prices.

  2. Why would anyone read these fantasy reports, like from “Biden” “Blinken” 2 people who were once around?

  3. Said Biden, after an email was sent to him from Xi, that stated “don’t ever ever forget what information we have on you”!
